Pastry-based Dinners, Supermarket Style
Dedicated to those busy people who haven’t the time or inclination to make their own! But there are plenty of simple recipes from scratch elsewhere on this site, of course. And remember – lots of ready-made pastry is vegan-friendly, which makes home-made pie and quiche-making much easier.
Whichever option you choose, serve with a rainbow plate of steamed or roasted vegetables!
- Clive’s Pies: healthfood shops, high street and online. Mostly but not all vegan. Mostly if not all gluten-free.
- Fry’s: all vegan. Some of their range is in high street supermarkets and Ocado online. A larger range is likely to be found in health food stores, high street or online.
- Linda McCartney: sold just about everywhere. Their vegan range is easier to identify now since they’ve repackaged and rebranded – the white boxes with green lettering are vegan.
- Mama Cucina quiches: some high street health food shops – otherwise online.
Online health food shops: Alternative Stores; Goodness Direct; RealFoods; VeggieStuff; Vegan X are some of the best known but there are others.
